A self-described security geek, Walt Whitten is an IT executive who believes everything is vulnerable and should be better protected. Walt has spent most of his career in the healthcare industry and is a staunch advocate for patient privacy and protection. In addition to his current role as the Chief Information Security Officer at Soaring Eagle Data Solutions, Walt is also a part-time Cyber Security Instructor at a variety of Universities throughout the US. A Marine veteran, Walt maintains CISSP and CEH certifications and holds a Master’s degree in Information Security and Assurance. Walt is a huge sports enthusiast who loves his native Pittsburgh teams, golfing, and boating. He lives in Apollo Beach with his wife and old dog.
